How It Actually Works

You install Zeus on your computer. You connect it to your Xero account (the same way you connect any Xero app). That is it.

From there, you just ask it things in plain English. "Give me a P&L for Smith & Co for last quarter." "Which invoices are overdue by more than 30 days?" "Compare this month's revenue to the same month last year." Zeus pulls the data straight from Xero, does the analysis, and gives you the answer.

It Remembers Everything

This is the part that changes how you work. Most AI tools start from scratch every time you open them. Zeus does not.

In your first week, you will be explaining things like your fiscal year starts in July, ignore the test account, compare to the prior corresponding period. By month two, Zeus already knows all of that. It knows your chart of accounts, your biggest debtors, your margin benchmarks, and how you like your reports formatted.

By month three, it catches things you would have missed. A client's receivables trending up. A margin dropping below your threshold. A supplier invoice that looks unusual.

It Can Write to Xero Too

Zeus can create invoices, journal entries, and credit notes in Xero. But here is the important part: it will never write anything without showing you exactly what it is about to do and waiting for you to approve it. Every write operation gets a confirmation prompt. Every action is logged in a local audit trail.

Your Data Stays on Your Machine

This is not marketing speak. It is how Zeus is built.

Your financial data is stored in a database on your computer. It is not uploaded to our servers. It is not synced to a cloud. It is not shared with any third party. When Zeus needs data from Xero, it pulls it directly from Xero to your machine. When it needs AI to interpret your question, it sends the query to the AI model for processing, but the AI provider does not store or train on your data.

Your API keys are encrypted using your operating system's built-in keychain (macOS Keychain, Windows Credential Manager). Your Xero connection uses the same secure OAuth login you use for every other Xero app. The Xero client secret never even touches your machine. It is held securely on an isolated authentication server.
